Uttarakhand: Number of people who lost their lives in Sumna avalanche accident increased to 16


On Wednesday, another body was recovered from the Sumna avalanche site of Niti Valley near the India-China border in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, with the death toll rising to 16.

On Friday, two Border Roads Organization (BRO) camps fell due to the breaking of glaciers near Sumna due to which the laborers working there went missing in the snow for whose search the army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Border Roads Organization And relief and rescue work is being done by the district administration. As of Sunday, 15 bodies were recovered from the avalanche site. All these deceased were residents of Jharkhand.
