These plants will be set up in the identified hospitals in the district headquarters of various states and union territories and will be carried out by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Prior to this, Rs 201.58 crore was allocated from the PM Cares Fund for the establishment of 162 PSA therapeutic oxygen production plants in the health centers of various states of the country. It is noteworthy that keeping in mind the need of a dedicated national fund for the primary purpose of dealing with any kind of emergency or crisis like Kovid-19 epidemic on 27 March 2020 and to provide relief to the people affected by it. In the circumstances, a public charitable trust was created in the name of ‘Prime Minister’s Civil Assistance and Relief Fund (PM Cares Fund)’.
