Gorakhpur. On Wednesday, the police busted a gang that had cheated two lakh rupees with the lure of doubling the money in Gola area of ​​the district. Investigation revealed that constable Manish Yadav posted in Basti Police Lines was operating the gang along with seven people. Police arrested three accused on Wednesday and produced them in the court from where they have been sent to jail.

The police has intensified the search for the absconding constable, former head and other accused. 37 thousand five hundred rupees, a pistol, cartridges and a bike have been recovered from the arrested accused. Two of these accused were caught by the villagers on the day of the incident and handed over to the police. According to the information, Anshuman Rai, a resident of Duboli of Gola area, was going home on Monday evening via Dediha in his vehicle. In Lamatia, four miscreants on two bikes came near his car and after talking to him here and there, he took him under his guise. After this, the miscreants took two lakh rupees kept in his car by asking to double his money and fled from there.
However, in the meantime, two miscreants while running through Banrahi village fell from the bike in front of Rameshwar Dubey’s house in the same village. The courageous youths of the village caught him on the basis of suspicion and handed him over to the police. While two other miscreants on the other bike escaped. After the interrogation of the arrested accused and the name of another accused came out in the investigation, the police also arrested him.
At the same time it emerged that one of the accused was present in uniform. Only after this the investigation was intensified on the orders of the SSP. Investigation revealed that constable Manish Yadav, resident of Banpurwa of Gagaha, was operating the entire gang. He is presently posted in Police Lines Basti.

Apart from Manish Yadav, who became a soldier after getting a job in the deceased dependent, the names of former head Awadhesh Yadav, resident of Pratapipur, Uruva, Bablu Yadav, resident of Paharpur of Uruva market, Pankaj, resident of Barai of Sikriganj have also come to the fore. Police are trying to arrest them but all are absconding.
SSP Dinesh Kumar Prabhu told that the search is on for the absconding accused. The people of this gang sometimes carry out the incident of scuffle with the people in the guise of the crime branch and sometimes the police. Among them the name of a soldier of the settlement has come up. Further action is being taken after registering the case.
