The central government has said that the vaccines are to be purchased directly from the Serum Institute. But when the state officials spoke to the Serum Institute, they were told that they do not have the vaccine available at the moment. According to Sharma, the said company is not able to fulfill its commitment with the central government till May 15, in such a situation, the vaccination of the age group of 18 to 45 years in the state is done only by the pharmaceutical company providing vaccines to Rajasthan. Will depend Along with this, Sharma said that apart from the continuous increase in testing facilities for the prevention and treatment of corona infection in the state, the number of oxygen beds is also being increased continuously as per the requirement. Every effort is also being made to supply oxygen and other drugs including Remedisvir.
Dr. Sharma said that at present, corona testing capacity of 86 thousand tests has been done every day and about 80 thousand tests are being done every day. All the investigations are being done by RTPCR itself and this test facility is available in all the districts. Medical Minister informed that special emphasis is being laid on strengthening the health infrastructure in the state. At present 14,389 oxygen-rich beds and 4477 ICU beds are available in the state. Regarding the availability of medical oxygen, the Health Minister said that 250 metric tonnes of oxygen is required in the state in view of the present circumstances. The center has allocated 140 metric tonnes of medical liquid oxygen to the state. At present, 23 tankers of 4 to 6 MT capacity are available for transporting liquid oxygen in the state. Keeping in view the requirement, an additional requirement of 6 tankers with a capacity of 30 MT. Efforts are being made to arrange it. He said that the coronary under-treatment patients (active cases) in the state at present are 1 lakh 27616.
