According to official information, the Oxygen Express, which left Bokaro on Friday afternoon, has come to Lucknow carrying 30,000 liters of liquid medical oxygen. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avneesh Awasthi told PTI-Saturday that the Oxygen Express reached Lucknow at 6.30 am with two tankers of medical oxygen. Each tanker is of 15,000 liters capacity.
According to the information, Oxygen Express from Bokaro had left three tankers carrying oxygen, out of which one tanker was landed in Varanasi on the intervening night of Friday / Saturday. Awasthi said that due to this oxygen, half the demand of Lucknow will be met today and patients will get relief. On Saturday, the second oxygen express of the railway left Lucknow for Bokaro at 5.30 am with four empty tankers. On Wednesday, the Railways had said that it would run its second Oxygen Express in Uttar Pradesh after receiving a request from the state government. Given the lack of oxygen in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has been working on many fronts.
A digital platform called Oxygen Monitoring System for UP was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday. According to official information, this platform has been prepared to deal with the problem of oxygen generated in the current crisis period of Kovid-19 in all the government and private hospitals of the state. In a government statement, Awasthi said that Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to introduce a system of digital platforms for oxygen. Awasthi said that this platform has been prepared by Rodik Consultant Private Limited in collaboration with Food Safety and Drug Administration, Medical Education Department, Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Transport and Home Department of the state.
Representatives of this company will be present in government and private hospitals requiring oxygen to ensure easy supply of oxygen in a timely manner. He informed that a web portal / link has been prepared for this work, which can be used by the officers and employees associated with the oxygen supply link. The representatives of the company will upload details of the oxygen requirement of the hospital on the portal and the nearest vehicle will be sent to the hospital, tracking the online presence of vehicles engaged in oxygen supply on the portal.
