PM Modi’s 3.45 hour long meeting on Mission Kashmir 2.0, know the key points of the meeting

All political parties wanted elections to be held there and full statehood should be given to Jammu and Kashmir. The process of granting full statehood will start only after delimitation. But the work of the Delimitation Commission is almost complete and the round of meetings is going on there. J&K should get full statehood soon: Ghulam Nabi Azad

After the meeting with PM Modi, Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that in the meeting we put 5 big demands on behalf of the Congress in front of the government. The government should restore the status of the state soon. We also talked about settling Kashmiri Pandits in the valley in the meeting. The central government should conduct elections in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest. In the meeting, most of the parties said that the issue of 370 is in the Supreme Court.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said that Prime Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah said in the meeting that we want Jammu and Kashmir to get full statehood at the earliest and elections should also be held there at the earliest. He said that we said in the meeting that on August 5, 2019, we will not accept the decision of the Central Government to abrogate 370. We will fight our battle on the 370 issue through the court. People want that Jammu and Kashmir should be given full state status.

Describing the meeting, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that in the meeting, the PM said that there should be a partnership for development to reach everywhere in Jammu and Kashmir. The process of delimitation for the assembly elections will have to be completed expeditiously so that the political representation of each constituency can be obtained in the assembly. Discussions took place in the meeting regarding the participation of everyone in the process of delimitation. All the parties present in the meeting agreed to take part in this process. In the meeting, the PM also emphasized that all stakeholders have to walk together to maintain peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
