MG Hector announces closure of his factory
There has been a second wave of Coronavirus in the country, due to which there is an atmosphere of chaos. Weekly lockdown has been imposed in many states and weekend lockdown in many places. The number of people infected with Corona is increasing day by day. In such a situation, many big automobile manufacturers and many factories have closed down. MG Hector (MG Motor) has also announced the closure of its plant located in Gujarat from 29 April to 5 May. Companies like Toyota and Hero Motorcorp have already closed their production plants. By tweeting on Twitter, Rajiv Chhaba, Chairman and Managing Director of MG Motor India has said that due to Corona virus, he will keep the company’s Gujarat based plant closed for the next 7 days. Doing so will help to break the chain of Corona Sankirmit. Further Chhaba said that he wants the safety of his employees and community, due to which this decision has been taken.This company came to India in 2019
MG Hector came to India in the year 2019, after which this company became famous day after day due to its car. This car brand is being well liked by the people. The company launched its first SUV MG Hector in India. The company’s portfolio also includes cars such as the Gloster and ZS Electric. Production is 80,000 units
For information, let us tell you that MG Motor has bought the same factory in Gujarat on which American automaker General Motors used to manufacture its vehicles. In the year 2017, General Motors stopped production and sale of its famous brand Chevrolet in India. The production capacity of this Gujarat based plant of MG Hector is 80,000 units per year.
