Maharashtra: Directorate registered a case of culpable homicide against directors in Virar hospital fire case


As part of non-willful murder and other charges against the hospital’s directors and management after the death of 15 patients infected with the corona virus due to fire in a private hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) in Virar in Palghar district in Maharashtra early Friday. An official of the Virar police station said that sections 304 (culpable homicide), sections 337 and 338 (recklessly endangering human life) and section 38 (by many people to pursue a common cause) of the Indian Penal Code Act done) under the case. The fire broke out in the ICU on the second floor of the four-storey Vijay Vallabh Hospital at around 3 am.
