West Indies T20 captain Kieron Pollard is hopeful that he will return to action after all-rounder Sunil Narine’s confidence returns after warning of suspicious action in the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL 2021 last year. Will. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinner Sunil Narine in IPL was reported for suspicious bowling action after the match against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020 in Abu Dhabi. Although Sunil Narine was placed on the warning list by the IPL’s Suspicious Bowling Action Committee, he was later acquitted and played four games in the suspended 2021 IPL season. The remaining matches of IPL 2021 will be played from September to October, it is likely that Sunil Narine will be seen again playing for his team Kolkata Knight Riders.
Sunil Narine, who has not played for the West Indies since August 2019, is not in the national T20 squad, which began the five-match series against South Africa with an eight-wicket win on Saturday. Naren is under investigation for suspicious action since 2014. Sunil Narine could have played a key role in the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in India or UAE later this year but now the team may have to play without him.
These days West Indies is busy preparing for the T20 World Cup. That’s why all the veteran players of the team are being united. The T20 World Cup is to be held in October-November. There have been six T20 World Cups since 2007, out of which the West Indies team has won twice. West Indies is the only team that has won the T20 World Cup twice. This time too, this team is going to enter the field as a strong contender. It has to be seen how the team performs this time.
