Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar is impressed with the play of Glenn Maxwell in IPL 2021. He said that Maxwell is the second 360 degree player of RCB after AB De Villiers and the way he is batting, it is very difficult to stop him.
Gavaskar said in the Star Sports show that Maxwell is playing shots like reverse sweep, scoop, switch hit in this IPL. In such a situation, it will not be easy for any team to stop them. Because of them, the pressure on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers has reduced. The team now knows that they have another batsman who can be trusted. Last year, Devdutt Padikkal was scoring runs for the team at the beginning of the innings and this time Maxwell is batting extravagantly.

He further said that now you can say that RCB has a second 360 degree player in the form of Maxwell. You can see how he is doing just reverse sweep, but also playing scoop shot in off side and leg side. Playing these shots is not easy. But they are doing so with great ease. He is playing a shot on the off side after picking up from the thirty yard circle. This means that they are 360 degree players. In such a situation, what will the bowler do when he has to bowl two 360 degree batsmen. Also read: IPL 2021, MI vs PBKS: Pollard escapes the crease before Shami throws the ball, demand for penalty
