New Delhi :

Leaving the eight-wicket defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship, Team India now wants to focus on the series with England. Team India has got a long rest. The Indian team has to play the first Test with England from August 4. Before this, the Indian team will prepare for this series by playing among themselves. However, in the month of July, when Team India is on a tour of England, only then India’s second team will go to Sri Lanka and play three T20 and three ODI matches there. However, the BCCI will try to get a chance to play with any county team in England. Even before the WTC final, the Indian team did not play any practice match. In such a situation, New Zealand had left India behind in every way.

The Indian cricket team is not getting a chance to play a warm-up match against the county team before the five-match series against England. The team will now participate in the camp in Durham from July 15 and will play intra-squad matches. The Indian team is currently on a break after their defeat in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) against New Zealand. In response to IANS’s question, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement that as far as the board is aware, India’s schedule is still as before. The Indian team will take part in the camp in Durham from July 15. During their stay in Durham, the Indian team will play two intra-squad four-day matches in which there will be 24 players including four standby players. The Indian team management is expected to play county. The focus is on the warm-up matches against the county teams after the Indian batsmen were badly pitted against New Zealand’s bowling attack. The top order of the Indian team including Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara could not handle the moving delivery.
