Team India is now preparing for a five-Test series with England. However there is still time for it. Meanwhile, the good news is that Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma will recover soon. Indian team’s fast bowler Ishant Sharma suffered an injury during the final match of the World Test Championship (WTC), after which he has got stitches in the fingers of his left hand. However, the injury is not very serious and he may recover in a week or two. India has to play a five-match Test series against England in August-September. Before this, the team will conduct a training camp in Durham. A Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) official told IANS that Ishant Sharma has received stitches but the injury is not serious. He is fine. The stitches will be removed in a week or two.
Ishant Sharma suffered an injury during New Zealand’s second innings while attempting to block Ross Taylor’s shot. This was the seventh over of Ishant Sharma but after injury his over was completed by Jasprit Bumrah. Ishant Sharma bowled for 31.2 overs and took three wickets. He took all the wickets in the first innings. Ishant Sharma may be fit before July 15 when the team leaves for Durham for the camp in view of the five-match series. However, it is not yet clear whether Ishant Sharma will get a chance in Team India in the series against England. Meanwhile, after the defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the final of the WTC, there is also a possibility that there will be many changes in the team when the Indian team goes into the Test series with England.
