Former Mohun Bagan footballer Pranab Ganguly dies, having trouble breathing


Former Mohun Bagan footballer Pranab Ganguly has passed away. Ganguly was part of the Indian team that played in the Merdeka Cup in 1969. He played for Mohun Bagan for eight consecutive seasons and did his best in the IFA Shield final in 1969.

Kolkata. India and Mohun Bagan The former footballer Pranab Ganguly Died of a heart attack. He was 75 years old. Ganguly was having trouble breathing for the past few days. According to his former club, he breathed his last at his residence at Park Circus on Friday.

Ganguly was part of the Indian team that played in the Merdeka Cup in 1969. He played for Mohun Bagan for eight consecutive seasons and did his best in the IFA Shield final in 1969. With his two goals, Mohun Baganne defeated his arch-rivals East Bengal 3–1 in this match.
