Three Australian players Andrew Tye, Kane Richardson and Adam Jampa have pulled out of the IPL due to the growing outbreak of Kovid-19 in India. Cricket Australia on Monday inquired about the health and travel plans of its players playing in the IPL.
“I sent a message back that Cricket Australia takes 10 per cent of every IPL contract and whether there is any possibility that this money will be spent on a special aircraft this year when the IPL ends,” Lin told News Corp Media. ‘League matches will end on 23 May. This will be followed by both qualifiers on 25 and 28 May while the 26 matches will be played in the Eliminator. The final will be held on 30 May. All these matches will be played in Ahmedabad. Lynn said, “I know that the situation of people is worse than us. But we are living in a very bio-safe environment and we will have vaccinations next week too, so hopefully the government will allow us to return home in private aircraft. 14 Australian players are still associated with the IPL. These include Steve Smith, David Warner and Pat Cummins, besides Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting and Royal Challengers Bangalore coach Simon Katich.
