Ashok Leyland’s profit up six times to Rs 377 crore


Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland on Friday said its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) grew more than six times to Rs 377 crore during the fourth quarter of the last financial year ended March 31, 2021.

New Delhi. Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland on Friday said its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) grew more than six times to Rs 377 crore during the fourth quarter of the last financial year ended March 31, 2021. The commercial vehicle major had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 58 crore in the January-March quarter of 2019-20.

Ashok Leyland said in a statement late Thursday that consolidated income during the fourth quarter of the last fiscal stood at Rs 8,142 crore, as against Rs 5,088 crore in the year-ago period. Ashok Leyland, in a separate release on Friday, said it has constituted an Environment, Social and Administrative (ESG) committee for its sustainability agenda, which will be headed by an independent director N V Balachander.
