The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has deployed additional health personnel including doctors and paramedical personnel at Delhi’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) Kovid Hospital to deal with the increasing cases of Kovid-19.

The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has deployed additional health personnel including doctors and paramedical personnel at Delhi’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) Kovid Hospital to deal with the increasing cases of Kovid-19. This information was given by the Ministry of Defense on Saturday. According to the ministry’s statement, “378 have been deployed in 2021 (by AFMS) against 294 physicians and health workers in 2020.” The statement said that this time (in 2021) 164 doctors have been deployed while in 2020, 132 doctors were deployed.
It said, “Last year, only 18 specialists were employed here, while this time 43 specialists and 12 highly specialized doctors have been deployed.” It said that this time health workers were deployed here in just three days on very short notice.

It said, “These specialists and highly specialized physicians have been deployed in SVP despite the pre-work pressure in Army hospitals.” The Defense Ministry said on Saturday that on April 19 in Delhi, when the SVP center was re-started for Kovid-19 patients, its 250 beds were filled in just two hours.
