Singapore. Singapore And Hong Kong has agreed to launch the Air Travel Bubble (ATB) from May 26 with vigilance between the two global aviation and financial centers after overcoming the state of the epidemic. The ATB is also known as the Corona Corridor, and is a special partnership between two countries that have achieved notable success in overcoming the Corona virus. ATBs were initially launched in November last year, but were canceled in view of the spread of the epidemic in Hong Kong.
Singapore’s Ministry of Transport said that after reviewing the arrangements a number of reforms were made to the agreement, including stricter conditions for reintroducing ATBs. “The situation in Kovid-19 has improved in Hong Kong and local contact cases are very low in cases of infection in the last few weeks,” the ministry said, adding that the risk perception of the two cities is now the same. The ministry said that the two cities will closely monitor the status of Kovid-19 from now until May 26 and if the situation continues to be normal, air travel will be started with caution.
